Undaunted Courage WWII Book

Design Challenge
Create a fictional book featuring a character in the 101st Airborne Division in the European Invasion of WWII. A personal background and story must follow the character throughout the entirety of the book and be accompanied by personal artifacts and bound in a hard cover.

Design Solution
The fictional character created was Ernesto Gonzales, a young Mexican Immigrant whom
a rich story was developed around. The design esthetic of the book was to resemble the look and feel of the era. The character of the book was personified through the creation of the personal artifacts placed throughout. Aged paper, era accurate typefaces, and the ability
to stress documents created the authentic look of WWII. The most important element I used
to re create the look of WWII was subtlety.
